Mathematics & Science

About Department

The Department of Mathematics and Science was founded in 2013. It has three basic sciences:-
(a) Mathematics, (b) Physics, and (c) Chemistry.
The Department of Mathematics and Science plays a unique and distinctive role in an institute where the ethics of science, as well as technology, prevails. It is believed that engineering and science are, by their very nature, humanistic and socially derived enterprises. Hence a complete science and technology education should have a base of mother branches of technology and sciences where the students learn the application of scientific principles along with language skills and social understanding.

Vision & Mission

VISION

The Department supports the Institute mission by empowering students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, content knowledge and the ability to communicate ideas effectively.

MISSION

Understand the connections within mathematics, physics and chemistry as well as application of mathematics, physics and chemistry to other engineering disciplines also to develop connections to professional communities.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

  • To acquire scientific knowledge with a solid foundation in core areas of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science and English Language.
  • To accomplish with advanced training in focused areas to solve complex real-world problems in Science.
  • To demonstrate professional and ethical attitude, soft skills, team spirit, leadership skills and execute assignments to the perfection.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

Programme outcomes (POS) of Diploma in Engineering
